I love seeing a woman in beautiful tailoring. It can look just as elegant as a red carpet gown but has the low-key element I feel more comfortable with. From a Delevingne style plunging blazer to Diane Keaton in Annie Hall, I find it a really fascinating way of dressing, but it's just not made for women with boobs.

What I Ate in Paris

Food is such an integral part of any trip I make; I often plan where I'm going to eat before I decide what tourist attractions I'll take in. Of course, I've heard much about the food in France, but as cheese, chocolate and red wine are all readily available in England, I never really thought much of it. But the stereotypes are there for a reason and I embraced them on my trip to Paris before Christmas.

A Weekend in Paris

I've travelled to some incredible places, far from home, yet before Christmas I had never been to Paris. The people I told were always shocked that I hadn't taken the short trip across the Channel; it seems a rite of passage for any British person to have a weekend break there, and even I found it strange that I'd got to 26 without ever visiting.

Fondue at Androuet, Spitalfields

One of life's basic pleasures is cheese. Forget long walks on the beach, the smell of freshly cut grass and all those other cliches, just give me a plate of cheese and I'm a happy lady. It can come in any form but when it's melted down for my convenience and I can dunk stuff in it, well, there isn't much better than that.

Jack the Ripper Walking Tour

I am a firm believer that walking around a city is the best way of getting to know your way around. Every city I visit, I make sure I don't just rely on public transport to get from A to B and you get to discover things you may never have seen too. I walk a lot in London, and it means I know a lot of back streets and short cuts which makes me feel much more at home, but the Jack the Ripper tour has put an end to that! You see, I live in east London, not far from the notorious serial killer's old stomping ground of Whitechapel, and having to walk home alone after this tour was not ideal.

Degusta Box: December

You may have seen my last review of November's Degusta Box, and as I said before, I love the idea of a monthly food subscription service. It's basically a discovery in your post box, that takes away the wandering aimlessly around supermarkets for something yummy which we all do (don't deny it). It seems to me that in each box there is a huge variety of things, but generally split into drinks, snacks, and ingredients. There's the ability to nibble away at something between meals but also try cooking something new, so I'm totally in my element when the next one arrives at my door.

Hello 2015!

When it came to making New Year Resolutions for 2014, I only had one: do more to make myself happier. 2013 was one of the worst years of my life and all I wanted for 2014 was to make sure I wasn't so bloody miserable all the time! So this year has seen me get the travel bug big time with trips to Australia, Hong Kong, China, Germany and France, all of which have made me grow massively as a person and encourage me to see even more of the world.
